Start with a business decision
Before selecting a tool, define which capability needs to change, who owns it and how progress will be recognized. This makes it possible to compare alternatives without losing sight of the purpose.
Distinguish activity from progress
Delivering a feature does not by itself demonstrate operational improvement. Oversight should distinguish deliverables, adoption and movement in agreed indicators. Each dimension needs its own evidence.
Make decisions explicit
Useful governance identifies what the team can resolve, what should be escalated and what requires leadership. Risks, dependencies and pending decisions belong in the executive conversation.
Design ongoing operations too
Transformation does not end when a solution is released. Support, ownership, knowledge transfer and a mechanism for evolution must be defined. Continuity belongs in the design, not in an improvised final stage.
